Better Together, powered by Indianapolis’ EmpowerED Families organization, was created to channel that energy into real change. We believe every perspective deserves to be heard, and that we're stronger when we work through our differences rather than around them. This is a space for neighbors, parents, educators, and community members to build real solutions for our students, our schools, and our city.
Our schools are starting from a place of strength.
Indianapolis families benefit from a strong and diverse public school landscape, but for too long, those schools have operated in silos. That makes it harder for families to navigate schools and less efficient for schools to run.
New changes will make schools stronger.
The changes now underway create an opportunity to bring more coordination, fairness, and clarity to Indianapolis public education, reducing fragmentation and improving access for families across school types.
Not every question has been answered, and implementation will not be easy, which is exactly why community engagement matters so much right now.
